Severe weather is ramping up across parts of the U.S., with storms expected to develop over the next three days from the Plains to the Midwest.
Storms forming over central and northern Kansas this evening and tonight will mainly be capable of large hail, but a brief tornado cannot be ruled out. The risk of severe weather will last as late as 3 AM in our viewing area before exiting into far eastern Kansas.
Central Illinois faces a highly active weather day Monday with a Level 3 severe storm threat including a 10% tornado risk. Expect two rounds of storms with possible hail up to 2 inches, wind gusts near 70 MPH,
